On October 7, the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Lithuania invites you to the forum „Internal Reporting Channels: From Investigation Results to Effective Practice,” where representatives of the public and private sectors as well as Lithuanian and foreign experts will meet. The forum will be opened by Prosecutor General Nida Grunskienė.

The forum’s key question is how internal message channels work today and what can we do to make them work better?

🔎 During the event, the trends in whistleblower protection in Lithuania for 2026 will be presented, and the results of a study conducted by the General Prosecutor’s Office and Mykolas Romeris University on the operation of internal reporting channels in the energy sector will be reviewed – including strong practices, the most commonly identified shortcomings, and recommendations for organizations. Meanwhile, Sergejus Muravjovas, a representative of Transparency International Lithuania, will invite discussion in an interactive presentation about what an effective internal reporting channel really means and how to assess whether the goals it sets are being achieved.

🌍 Lithuania’s experience will be complemented by international insights. Anna Myers, president of the Whistleblowing International Network (WIN), will speak about the role of competent authorities in strengthening internal channels, and Kim Anh Nguyen Ngoc, board member of the Network of European Integrity and Whistleblowing Authorities (NEIWA), will share best practices from Europe.

💬 The forum will conclude with a discussion titled „From Investigation Results to Action: How to Strengthen Internal Reporting Channels in Lithuania?” moderated by the Senior Specialist of the Internal Investigations Division of the General Prosecutor’s Office.
